Landrú e Mariña

Este barco pertenceu ao pirata Landrú , un dos últimos piratas que percorreu a ría. Landrú gustaba de abordar pequenos barcos de comerciantes e coller todas as riquezas que levaban neles. Dise que Landrú se botou a facer o mal por culpa do Conde da Mámoa.

Tamén se conta que este conde era inmensamente rico e que tiña moitos barcos que pescaban sardiñas e moitas fábricas que as enlataban. Daquela Landrú tiña sona de ser o mellor dos seus patróns e normalmente tocáballe pescar nos sitios máis arriscados. Pero sempre volvía coa cuberta chea de sardiñas.

O conde tiña unha fermosa filla de cabelos dourados chamada Mariña.Ela gustaba de pasear polo porto vendo como os barcos descargaban os peixes para ir para a fábrica. Alí foi onde coñeceu a Landrú e alí foi onde se namoraron.

O conde cando se enterou do namoramento da filla e do capitán enoxouse moitísimo xa que consideraba que un patrón de barco non estaba a altura da súa filla. Prohibíulle a ambos que se volverán a ver, pero foi inútil. Cada mañanciña víanse ás agochadas cando Landrú viña de arribada.

Por culpa doutro patrón, envexoso da sorte de Landrú, o conde enterouse de onde se vían os dous namorados. Foi ata alí e arrancou dos brazos de Landrú á súa amada. A el despediuno dos seus barcos e encargouse de que ningún armador lle voltase a dar traballo en ningún porto da ría. A ela mandouna lonxe, moi lonxe terra a dentro.

Dise que Mariña non puido soportar estar lonxe do seu namorado, dise que cortou a súa fermosa cabeleira dourada e que se embarcou, nun porto lonxano, coa esperanza de cruzarse novamente con Landrú. El soubo do que fixo ela e sen dubidalo foi ata o porto e colleu o roubou o barco máis rápido do conde. Dende aquela estivo abordando todos os barcos que se cruzaban no seu camiño na procura da súa amada Mariña.

Non se sabe se ao final se voltaron a topar os dous namorados. O único que queda deles é este barco fundido cheo de moedas que ten no mascarón de proa unha fermosa muller de cabelos dourados.
