A Galiza que muda e non muda
Visto que hai que ir de punta en branco para a Agrofesta fun mercar algo que calzar para lucir co manderete da señora Flora.
A verdade é que saín coa intención mercar unhas chanclas de goma modelo Piraña en Verano Azul. Pero logo de percorrer uns cantos establecementos do centro comercial máis antigo de Compos, de xeito baldío xa que o meu número non se fai, entereime de que se chamaban fanequeiras.
Acabei entrando nunha zapatería ben velliña e medio destartelada na que entre os estantes, ateigados de zapatos mal colocados, había calendarios doutras décadas.
O dependente, que semellaba ter entrado nos setenta había ben tempo, atendía a un paisano, só uns anos máis novos que el. O cliente vestía un traxe roído polo tempo e unha pucha gastada polos suores que dá o traballo. Pagou cun billete de 10 euros as puntas que mercaba –cobroullas ben cobradas, catro euros, xa que non debían de ser máis de unha ducia delas- e esperou pola volta. O zapateiro foi lentamente cara a transtenda a buscar o cambio.Trouxo un billete de cinco e unha moeda de un euro. O dependente diríxuse cara min cando o outro cliente lle dixo:
- Que volta me dás?

- Ah, pero eu pensei que eran 4 pesos.
- Como que 4 pesos?, ahora xa non hai pesos – afirmou coa forza da razón- só hai euros.
- Como que non hai pesos? Si que os hai. E logo os pequenos marróns que son?. Son pesos e pesetas – autorrespostou a súa pregunta.
- Non, agora as pesetas e os pesos non valen.
O dependente tentou demostrar que as pesetas xa non valían ,facendo didáctica das moedas, ensinándolle varios tipos de moedas de céntimo. Pero o cliente marchou sen estar convencido de que os pesos xa non existían.
Eu fixen a miña compra, unhas zocas vermellas, e o dependente colleu de debaixo do mostrador unha bolsa de plástico na que se lía “Computer Idea, Trucos para Internet”.
