Cousas do mar
O vindeiro xoves 19 de xaneiro vaise celebrar en Bueu unha homenxe ao etnógrafo nacido en suecia Staffan Mörling. Por razóns amorosas Mörling chegou a Galiza e adicou boa parte da súa vida ao estudo das embarcacións tradicionais galegas en especial a dorna. Seu irmán gravou nos anos 70 varios documentais sobre as dornas na illa de Ons que acaban de ceder ao CGAI.
A cuberta de libro que ilustra este post é coñecido por moita xente que anda metido nesto das embarcacións tradicionais como a "biblia" e é autoría do propio Mörling. Libro xa esgotado dende hai tempo, anda polo e-mule.
Máis alá destes calificativos eu tamén recomendaría a lectura da oba de Dionisio Pereira Foulas e Ronseis (Retrincos para un tratado do mar dos galegos), todo un libro que chega co devalar das mareas.
Logo do que este verán montamos en Cambados e o traballo que se leva feito dende as asociacións e colectivos que traballamos na recuperación e mantemento da cultura marítima é o momento para facer máis visible a cultura do mar neste novo tempo.

Postado por paleon em janeiro 17, 2006 10:09 PMPaseando onte por Vijo, vin no escaparate dunha librería un libro de Morling que me pareceu tamén fora editado pola Xunta de Galicia, non sei se será unha reedición do mítico do que ti falas (e que algún cabrón colgou no emule) ou se ten novo material(non me acordo do nome da librería pero tiña moitísmos libros dos que lle molarían a Luis Paleon..)
